Organ meets drummer.

Mike Carr, brother of trumpet man Ian Carr and dynamic percussionist Tony Crombie recorded this enjoyable LP in January 1968. High points include a groovy Ode To Billy Joe and the intense driving rhythms of Summertime / Organ Grinder’s Swing. For fans of the unexpected there’s a low-key take on the Coronation Street theme too while the manic keys of The Tag represents the best of Carr’s own compositions.

Fantastic sleeve – photographed by John Wender.
